The March Update, Server and Redstone Update Section
Recently, the server has been undergoing some changes. Meszzy2 and I have been working hard to give you all a good experience on it.
Server Information
I'm proud to announce that the Skizzleski server (Before and after it went public) has been running for
over two years now. It's grown a lot since it was just being hosted on Meszzy2's computer, and is still one of the best servers out there. I'd like to give a personal thanks to all the staff for keeping up the good work on keeping the server together, along with the many users that also did volunteer work in fixing things for others.
I've watched the server go from two people to well over fifty over the span of those two years, and moderated it day after day with Meszzy. Regardless of any arguements that go on in the server, we've stuck together and sorted out the trouble, and are still going strong.
Server Cities
When you spawn (Assuming there are no glitches), you will find yourself in the heart of the server - The Spawn City. Your spawning area is in a large building made of glass and stone bricks, with rules on one side and doors exiting to the streets in the other. The city carries Meszzy2's office and Jammer622's office, along with a court, arena, nether portal, and underground network.
South of the spawn, and slightly east, is the city of Burgerburg. It was founded by buildingsoup, Rubberpie, and Jammer622. Once, almost the entire server at the time was in this region, and now it's just history and the complex has been shut down to the public.
North of the spawn is a castle-like town founded by zorx7, Killer2305, and Nick42448. It wasn't as highly populated but it still exists and contains a portal to the End to the west of the entrance, on the side of a mountain.
West of the spawn is an abandoned town founded by Zach4275, based around an old Shrine to the Madgod.
It's not active anymore, but it's still there.
These cities remain an important part to the server's history as of the latest world, and are always a great place to enjoy the memories at.
Regarding Updates
We'll do our best to keep the server updated with every version of minecraft that comes out, but we rely on Bukkit and it has to be updated first. If you want to keep playing the server but still want to test out updates beforehand, make a backup of the current version before you do so you can switch back to it when you want to play again.
Thank you for reading the March Update. -Clockwork
